Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, REQUEST FOR QUOTE, OR INVITATION FOR BID. THE INTENT OF THIS NOTICE IS TO IDENTIFY POTENTIAL OFFERORS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Public Works Department Little Creek, Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division is seeking eligible firms capable of performing various corrective maintenance actions in support for Two (2) 150 Ton Marine Travelifts, USN #81-01891 and USN #81-01893 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (Little Creek Site), Virginia Beach, Virginia. Crane components, specifically load bearing and/or load controlling parts shall be replaced in accordance with the Marine Travelift service and technical manuals using identical replacement parts. The qualified Contractor must have access to Marine Travelifts rebuild specifications, the parts necessary to recondition each component, and factory trained/certified technicians, the ability to purchase and install OEM replacement parts in accordance with the NAVFAC P-307, Management of Weight Handling Equipment, which requires all replacement load bearing and load controlling parts and safety devices to be identical to those of the original design.
