- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for a licensed physician (internal medicine, psychology or psychiatry are preferred) to work under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) as the Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) for SSA's Disability Programs. The services involve the review of medical evidence in disability claims filed under Title II and XVI. The RMA is the lead consultant for medical consultants with a wide range of specialties. Duties include work performed by the Regional Medical Consultants or Disability Determination Service Medical Consultants, independent case reviews, and a board range of medical consultant services. No patient contact will be involved. Basic computer proficiency is necessary to complete forms, read and answer email messages and type narrative consultations. Work is performed at the Rogers Federal Building, 1961 Stout Street, Denver, Colorado. The associated North American Industrial Classification Code for Physicians Office! s (except Mental Health) is 621111, with a small business standard $11 million. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than small businesses, will not be considered. This acquisition is for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The physician selected, will be required to undergo a security background screening which will include completion of fingerprint cards before beginning performance under the blanket purchase agreement. To be eligible for award, offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov prior to award. Offerors must have a Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) to begin registration. The period of performance will be from January 1, 2016 (or date of award) through December 31, 2020.
