Description
DO NOT CONTACT M.RODRIGUEZ-GIST For any additional infomation, please see the following POC: Paul Peria, Product Realization Engineer, paul.peria.civ@mail.mil The US Army CECOM, Power and Environmental Directorate is seeking an Expression Of Interest (EOI) from prospective contractors who may be interested in developing and manufacturing a permanent magnet alternator (PMA) with 4 three phase windings (12 wire output). The PMA is operated at variable speeds depending on power demand. The PMA's primary design will be to provide 3.3 kW, 3 phase, AC Voltage when mounted to a single cylinder 4 cycle diesel engine operating at 2900-3600 RPM. The PMA output will be rectified and electronically converted to a 120/240V 60 Hz output throughout the 2900-3600 RPM speed range. The new PMA must fit in the same location as the existing design and interface with existing MEP-831A 3kW Tactical Quiet Generator electrical connectors, wiring, control circuitry and mounting holes. The PMA will be used in a Military generator set and must be shock resistant, designed for off road transportation and capable of operating at temperature, humidity, and other environmental extremes. The new PMA shall perform to the same design specifications and meet all design requirements of government drawing 98-19634 while taking advantage of modern technology currently available to produce better regulation, efficiency and reliability. Prospective contractors are requested to submit an EOI that (1) identifies the prospective contractor (business name, business size (large, small, 8a, etc.), point of contact including e-mail address and telephone number; and, (2) describes the prospective contractor's capabilities, relevant experience and corporate resources to perform a contract of the size and complexity of that which is the subject of this procurement. Any response to this announcement by a contractor in no way obligates or commits the government to pursue this matter any further. Please submit your EOI to Paul Peria, Sustainment Engineer, at paul.peria.civ@mail.mil on or before 06 July, 2015-5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
