Description
Request for Information (RFI)/ Sources Sought Notice Request for Information (RFI)/ Sources Sought Notice Lease of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanning equipment Objective Navy Medicine has a requirement for a short term lease of one (1) ea. MRI unit for placement at the Guantanmo Bay Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The period of the short term lease is expected to be range from 30 to 180 calendar days. The potential source will be required to deliver the equipment to Blount Island, Jacksonville FL. Delivery to Guantanmo Bay from Jacskonville, FL will be the responsibility of the Government. Site preparation (utilities and pad) will also be the responsibility of the Government. At the end of the proposed lease, the potential source will be required to pick up the equipment at the same location of delivery. Essential Characteristics The MRI equipment as proposed by the potential source, must have the following essential characteristics: • A turnkey MRI solution with a 1.5 Tesla magnet and associated equipment • Specialty coils • Transportation trailer • Supporting on-site technologist and technician for maintenance and operation of the MRI equipment and associated components • On-site supporting personnel must have the knowledge, skills and capability of performing a non-contrast MRI of the head • Engineering and quality control support • Adequate supply of cryogen Responses No contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI. The Government will not pay for costs associated with developing a response to this RFI. No other information is available to respondents. To be of greatest value, responses should be received by the close of business, July 2, 2015. Electronic submissions (email with Microsoft Word attachment) are required. Attachments should be no longer than 15 pages. Please send responses to kathryn.d.skowronski.civ@mail.mil and deborah.l.hagan.civ@mail.mil. Responses should address the following areas: Capabilities Statement 1. Tell us about your organization and its capabilities to meet the Government's objective.
