Description

Intent to Sole Source - CIS Professional and Technical Services The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care (VISN 6) intends to negotiate sole source procurement to Clinicomp International, INC, in order to provide Clinical Information System (CIS) with professional and technical services for the interface requirements between the Clinical Information System and the VHA hospital information system, (VistA) at Durham, Richmond and Salem VAMC. Veterans Affairs has determined that this procurement should be issued as a sole because of only (1) capable source able to fulfill the requirements of this contract. This proposed procurement is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The NAICS code is 541511 and has a size standard 500 employees for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VAMC will proceed with sole sourcing this requirement to Clinicomp International, INC.
