- Description
- sources sought synopsis This synopsis is to notify interested contractors that the Government intends to issue a future repair contract for the Weapon System Processor (WSP) & associated sub-assemblies (details below). Note these items are circa 1980's era design & components that go into a "digital computer". This is a custom computing item designed and developed specifically for a unique Air Force requirement. These are not off the shelf or non-developmental. Significant technical knowledge of custom digital/analog circuitry will be required. Historically, the failure rate, and therefore repair volume, has been very low. NSN: 5998013633645AH Part Number: C003050-02 Noun: CCA System: WSP NSN: 7021015289321AH Part Number: C003007-05 Noun: WSP System: WSP NSN: 5998013635968AH Part Number: C003049-02 Noun: CCA System: WSP NSN: 5998013627390AH Part Number: C003055-02 Noun: CCA System: WSP To be considered as a potential repair source for this requirement, a Contractor will be required to submit for inspection technical data verifying their capabilities to perform. The Contractor will be required to verify to the Government that the Contractor has the necessary proprietary data and hardware & unique/peculiar test equipment from the current source, and is able to comply with all of the specifications and qualification requirements necessary to demonstrate and establish competence. As the Government currently has a satisfactory and qualified source, the current source, who possesses their proprietary data and hardware & unique/peculiar test equipment, potential sources will be required to perform any qualification actions and inspections at their own expense. Be aware, that historically these items have very low volumes of repairs and the Government does not have interest in funding the duplication of the capability currently held by the current source.
