- The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the provision of a Solid Waste Removal Service for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Marianna, located in Marianna, Florida. The successful contractor shall provide trash removal services to include the rental of units, pick-up, exchange units, haul off, maintenance and relocation of trash produced by the FCI. All waste shall be disposed of in an approved landfill, in accordance with Federal, State, and city regulations. It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in award of a single contract that shall consist of a 12 month base period, and the possibility of four-12 month option periods. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The contractor shall provide for rental and maintenance of two (2), 20 cubic yard front loading containers (to be emptied on an "as needed" basis) and four (4) 33 cubic yard, self-contained, compactors. Two are to be emptied on an "as needed" basis, one is to be emptied bi-weekly on Tuesdays and the fourth is to be emptied Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. The solicitation will be available on or about June 25, 2015 and will be distributed through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring these sites to ensure you have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about July 21, 2015. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562111 and the applicable small business size standard is $38.5 million. This requirement will be set-aside for small business. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated effective award date is October 01, 2015.
