Description

JOFOC Statement of Work The Great Plains Area IHS is planning a Sole Source Award with MCG to provide utilization review software for staffed beds for the Sioux San Rapid City IHS Hospital in Rapid City, SD. By using MCG, Rapid City IHS will optimize inpatient care and meet admission criteria which will allow all of us to use resources properly. The use of MCG to determine appropriate and safe care is part of our CMS corrective action plan previous citations. The price of this specific package is very reasonable and is designed for small facilities such as Rapid City Service Unit. MCG permits the Rapid City Service Unit to utilize evidenced based guidelines for inpatient admission criteria for utilization review. Evidence based guidelines assist medical staff to make admission decisions and assist utilization review process to justify admission, and level of care assignments, and procedures to safeguard and maximize reimbursements. The Rapid City service unit is in need of appropriate admission guidelines that are accessible through a web based simple, interactive user interface that allows for rapid decision making based on evidence based guideline criteria.
