- Description
- *** If you are viewing this announcement on any other site, except the FAA Contracting Opportunities website, please go to https://faaco.faa.gov to view it in its entirety with attachments. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has an upcoming requirement for preventive and remedial maintenance services on Computer Aided Engineering Graphics (CAEG) production plotters located in various locations within the Federal Aviation Administration. FAA has approximately 70 plotters and scanners currently supporting CAEG services multiple locations across 10 states in the continental US and Alaska. Hewlett Packard (HP), KIP, OCE, Xerox and Graphtec brands are current operated in these facilities. FAA needs a centralized support vehicle to provide periodic and on demand service, repair and maintenance support to assure minimal downtime and reliable operation of this equipment. This maintenance contract will service serialized pieces of equipment (plotters, scanners, paper handlers, controllers) located in the following metropolitan areas: Anchorage, AK; Boston, MA; Seattle, WA; Fort Worth, TX; Atlanta, Ga; Los Angeles CA; Kansas City, MO; Chicago, IL; Nashua, NH; Jamaica, NY; Atlantic City, NJ. Attachment I entitled, CAEG Exhibit List is included for informational purposes only to provide a list the current assets the FAA maintains. This list is in draft form, and does not include all of the assets the FAA maintains. Attachment II entitled, Draft Requirements is included for informational purposes to outline the draft requirements of the procurement. This market survey is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. At this time, the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small business concerns. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of capabilities from interested parties. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the requirement among small business concerns. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this effort is 334118, Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. A wholesale trade or retail trade business submitting a capability statement on a supply acquisition is categorized as a non-manufacturer and deemed small if it has 500 or fewer employees and meets the requirements of 13 CFR 121.406. In order to make this determination, the FAA requires the following information from interested vendors: PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A 10 PAGE LIMINATION, SUBMISSIONS SHOULD PROVIDE RELEVANT, CONCISE INFORMATION ONLY. Capability Statement This document should identify: 1. Your company s capability to provide supplies and services to the agency as described by Attachment II, Draft Requirements, including geographical areas where your company can provide services. 2. Any relevant current or previous experience that includes not more than three contacts for the same or similar services completed within the last five years or still ongoing. Additional Submissions 1. Completed Business Declaration Form, and any SBA certification letters (if applicable) 2. Comments concerning the Market Survey are welcome and optional. The FAA will consider all comments received. All submissions in response to this market survey must be received by 3:00 pm EST on July 9, 2015. Send response via email to Karin.Weinert@faa.gov. Phone calls regarding this survey will not be entertained.
