- Description
- The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, has a requirement for a qualified Contractor to provide design/build services for the replacement of the exterior storefront doors and hardware for Buildings 6900, 6908, 6912, 6914, 6922 and 6926 at the Little Rock Job Corps Center, located in Little Rock, Arkansas. This work will involve the removal of the existing exterior doors and frames to be replaced with heavy-duty aluminum anodized door and frame assemblies with heavy-duty hardware, continuous hinges and glazing to match the existing finishes. The estimated price range for construction is between $250,000 to $500,000. All interested Contractors are requested to submit a statement of qualifications. Your statement of qualifications should demonstrate the capacity of your firm to perform the required services, and shall include the following information: 1. Previous projects performed that are similar scope and value to the work required under this project, including previous experience on projects using storefront systems with glazing, doors and hardware work as a building component. 2. Your previous projects shall include examples of design and construction services on two or more building, envelope rehabilitation projects with a $250,000 to $500,000 constructed value performed within the last five years. 3. Project examples shall include the date of contract award, notice to proceed, the original date for contract completion, and the actual contract completion date for each project. 4. Using your previous project examples indicate the contract award amount, final contract value and the percent of change orders relative to the total construction value. 5. Please include with your submission your EMR Safety Ratings for 2012, 2013 and 2014. Your statement of qualifications will be evaluated based on the following criteria, which is listed in order of importance. 1. Previous projects of similar scope and value 2. Cost Control 3. Project Schedule 4. Project Safety This Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government to issue a Request for Proposals or award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on responses, nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Entities responding to this Sources Sought Notice should submit the minimum information necessary for the Government to make a determination that the source is capable of satisfying the requirements. The response must be specific to each of the criteria listed above to demonstrate that the respondent is capable. The submissions shall not exceed 20 pages. RESPONSES ARE DUE ON Thursday July 9, 2015, BY 2:00 PM EDT, AND MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY VIA E-MAIL TO garnett.eileen@dol.gov (Eileen Garnett, Contracting Specialist). Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the Government's evaluation of the information received. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted. A prospective offeror that is interested in obtaining a contract award with the Government must be registered in the Federal Government's System for Award Management (SAM) database, formally the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), prior to contract award.
