Description

This Request for Information is for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the service described below. This is not a formal solicitation and no contract award will result from this Request for Information. All responses may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. This is a small business Sources Sought with a North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code of 721110. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via e-mail no later than 09 July 2015 10:00 AM EST to Reginald L. Nettles at Reginald.Nettles2@va.gov. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office -8 Bay Pines, is requesting information on the availability of potential sources and customary marketplace terms and conditions for single occupancy hotel or motel rooms with complementary shuttle service between the hotel and the designated treatment facility for authorized eligible Veterans located in the Lee County area. Background Information The Department of Veteran Affairs Healthcare System, Lee County Healthcare Center (LCHC) located at 2489 Diplomat Parkway Cape Coral, FL has a need for a minimum of seven (7) furnished hotel or motel rooms per day room and two (2) furnished American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliant single occupancy hotel or motel rooms per day within a 20 miles or 30 minutes radius of the LCHCC with complementary shuttle service between the hotel and treatment facility for lodging of eligible Veterans in need of treatment at LCHCC. Potential contractors are asked to provide the following information: 1.Company's name and point of contact information (including phone number, e-mail address, and DUNS number) 2.Your level of interest in submitting an offer in response to a solicitation for this requirement 3.Business size (small or other than small) and applicable socioeconomic classifications if small (i.e. veteran owned, service-disabled veteran owned, woman owned, 8(a), etc.). 4.Brief Capabilities Statement of your company, including: a)Government contract number(s), if applicable b)Current government contract number(s), if applicable c)Information outlining the services you can provide d)Size of rooms and accommodations in each (i.e., wheelchair, microwave/Refrig, telephone) e)Availability of rooms (non-smoking) f)Services provided (housekeeping, room service,) g)Distance to/from LCHC h)Size of Shuttle Staff and any certifications, if applicable i)Size of Vehicle Fleet (smallest vehicle to largest) j)Vehicle accommodations (i.e. Luggage racks, racks for prosthesis) k)Hours of availability of shuttle staff l)Locale to other merchants (retail stores, eateries) 5.Additional information regarding customary marketplace terms and conditions: a)Normal procedures for reservations/cancellations b)Normal hour of operation c)Sub-Contracting plans d)Patient information security when in transit e)Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans f)Any other relevant information that may help improve service levels and taxpayer value Responses limited to word documents no more than 5 pages The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Proposal or for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather short statement regarding the company's ability to provide the service above. Submission of capabilities statement will assist our office in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry standards. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for any information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of this information. All interested contractors should notify this office via email by the response date/time listed in this notice.
