Description
This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. Building 570 Modify electronics Lab: a.Demolition 1.Contractor shall remove existing electrical bus rail and salvaged for relocation as indicated on drawings. 2.Contractor shall remove existing fire extinguisher and bracket and salvage for relocation. b.Construction 1.Contractor shall provide and install new cat 6 cable from comm. room #2242. Contractor shall provide and install new surface mounted 3/4 quote mark conduit, color to match existing wall, and 4 port face plate with RJ-45 jack ports as indicated on drawings. 2.Contractor shall provide and install new copper electrical grounding bus and all associated electrical work as indicated on drawings. 3.Contractor shall provide and install new electrical bus rails and all associated electrical work as indicated on drawings. 4.Contractor shall relocate existing electrical duplexes. Contractor shall patch FRP where electrical duplexes are removed with sealant to match existing color. Patch and paint to match existing wall where conduit brackets are removed as indicated on drawings. 5.Contractor shall provide and install new air regulator assemblies. Contractor shall tap into existing air-line and provide and install new air line with same size pipe to the new air regulator assemblies as indicated on drawings. 6.Contractor shall provide and install new fire extinguishers and brackets as indicated on drawings. 7.Contractor shall install Government provided soap and paper towel dispenser as indicated on drawings. 8.Contractor shall provide and install new cat 6 cable from comm. room #2242. Contractor shall provide and install new 3/4 quote mark conduit and 3 port face plate with RJ-45 jack ports. Contractor shall install new unistrut and mount jack ports on unistrut as indicated on drawings. 9.Contractor shall provide and install new laser blocking curtain and bracket as indicated on drawings. 10.Contractor shall provide and install new unistruts mounted on trusses as required to support new laser curtain to avoid sagging with termination bars at both ends as indicated on drawings. 11.Contractor shall provide and install new 42 circuit, 225 amp electrical sub panel as indicated on drawings. 12.Contractor shall install salvaged electrical bus rail. Contractor shall provide and install all required electrical work to salvaged bus rail as indicated on drawings. 13.Contractor shall install Government provided electrical bus rail. Contractor shall provide and install all required electrical work to provided bus rail as indicated on drawings. 14.Contractor shall reinstall existing fire extinguisher and bracket as indicated on drawings. 15.Contractor shall provide and install new 48 port network switch, as indicated on drawings. 16.Contractor shall provide new cat 6 patch cables as indicated on drawings. Building 570 Repair Ceiling: c.Demolition 1.Contractor shall carefully remove existing ceiling grid, tile, lights, diffusers, etc. to gain access for new insulation installation as indicated on drawings. d.Construction 1.Contractor shall provide and install new 3.5 inches of sound attenuation batt insulation as indicated on drawings. 2.Contractor shall provide and install sound foam into three openings in ceiling area below this conference room. Paint to match existing. Building 580 Construct New Sidewalk: e.Demolition 1.Contractor shall remove existing soil to a depth required by the City of Albuquerque engineering department and a width necessary to form out for a 6'-0 quote mark wide sidewalk. Contractor shall provide and install the required engineered fill and compaction per the City of Albuquerque engineering standards. f.Construction 1.Contractor shall provide and install new 4,000 p.s.i., 6'x 0 quote mark wide (thickness may vary) concrete sidewalk with a broom finish to maintain a 0.8 friction coefficient. Contractor shall provide all required contraction and control joints. Contractor shall center sidewalk on exterior doors of both buildings. Contractor shall align top of new sidewalk with existing sidewalks at both buildings. Contractor shall provide for site drainage with break in sidewalk similar to break in existing sidewalk indicated by keyed note #3. Contractor shall provide and install new expansion joint material at locations where new concrete meets existing concrete.
