- Description
- Description(s): The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support is seeking interested business parties in supporting the demand for the MBU, 7310-01-507-9310, its associated spare parts and accessories. DLA Troop Support anticipates issuing a solicitation for the reference item(s) under Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC). The IQC is a long term contract designed to provide for an indefinite quantity, within stated limits of supplies or services to be furnished during a specific period, with deliveries or performance to schedule by placing an order with the contractor. The contract is intended for use with items for which recurring demands may be anticipated, as a means of reducing the times and expense required soliciting and making repetitive awards. Based on the indefinite quantities the award may receive awards on unknown quantities for the award year, with a guaranteed minimum and a stated not to exceed maximum. The contract may be for a term of one year with four option years. Further it may contain an option to extend the term of the contract. If an option to extend the term of the contract provision is included in the solicitation, each option term would be one year. However, the total contract term (base year plus options) will not exceed five years. The answer to the questions concerning pricing will be one of the factors that will help the Government to determine the term of the contract. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources are: Cage 3AD06, for multiple Part Numbered Items, Part Number MS0003. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item. A COPY OF THE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED ON THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE: https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp ***DLA INTERNET BID BOARD SYSTEM 9DIBBS) QUOTATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THIS SOLICITATION. QUOTES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON A HARD COPY OF THIS REQUEST FOR QUOTE AND FAXED TO DAVIS SHARP AT 215-737-0313 OR EMAIL: david.sharp@dla.mil
