Description
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Added information, effective 29 June 2015: Response Date: NLT 2 July 2015 11:59 pm ET NOTICE INFORMATION Title: Small Business Event AF Sustainment Small Business Industry Day - Track 2 Business Opportunities Information Posted Date: 18 May 2015 On 9 March 2015, the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) announced the Small Business Industry Day (SBID) event to be held in Macon, GA, under the title of "Small Business Industry Day (SBID)," which focused on the Track 1 of the SBID event. This supplemental announcement identifies the location and date of the event at the Middle Georgia State College Conference Center in Macon, GA on 14-15 July 2015 and the specific business opportunities intended to be set aside for small businesses (SBs), these are in addition to the opportunities listed on 9 March. The AF SBID provides a forum for SBs to present products of interest to the AF, learn about upcoming AF Sustainment business opportunities, meet with subject matter experts on technology needs, and meet with major defense contractors for partnership opportunities. Depending on the level of response and associated building capacity, attendance may be limited and/or on a first come, first serve basis. SBs must register at the website below in order to attend the SBID event. Track 2 Business Opportunity briefings from AF are designed to provide further information on the requirements listed below. Through a selection process, SBs will be invited (in advance and not guaranteed for all attendees) to participate in one-on-one meetings for a question and answer exchange regarding Track 2 Business Opportunities. Invitations for one-on-one meetings will be sent directly to individual small businesses after registration opens, but an invitation is not required for registration and/or attendance. Questions received may be answered via amendment(s) to this announcement if deemed relevant to all parties unless a specific request for privacy is included. Registration : https://AFconference.brtrc.com/AFSBID/2015Sustainment The mission of the Air Force Sustainment Center is to Sustain Weapon System Readiness to generate Airpower for America. The center provides war-winning expeditionary capabilities to the warfighter through world-class depot maintenance, supply chain management and installation support. The AFSC provides critical sustainment for the Air Force's most sophisticated weapons systems, as well as a wide range of aircraft engines and component parts. Track Two - Small Business Opportunities: 001 - Reliability & Maintainability and DMSMS/Obsolescence Analysis Require fleet/system analysis, solution feasibility assessment, return on investment, and task/solution prioritization recommendations. 002 - REMOVED 003 - REMOVED 005 - Aerial Bulk Fuel Delivery System (ABFDS) The Aerial Bulk Fuel Delivery System (ABFDS) is designed for aerial delivery of fuel to locations where other methods of transportation are impractical. The system has been qualified for bulk transport of all types of liquid fuel, including special fuels, such as JPTS (thermally stable jet fuel). The system can carry from 3,000 to 24,000 gallons per sortie. 007 - Engine Test Stand Replacement Complete Commercial replacement of all existing T-20 series engine test stands and components with new equipment. Replacement includes the Instrumentation, Data & Acquisition System Control (ID&C), the Thrust Stand, Fuel Trailer, and Control Cab. Every aspect would include the Instrumentation, Data & Acquisition System (ID&C), the Thrust Stand, Fuel Trailer, and Control Cab. The instrumentation that is utilized in the test stands becomes obsolete due to the rapid changes being made with technology in the computer industry. A thrust stand, fuel trailer and control cab redesign makes the hardware more efficient and universal for the warfighter. Redesign options meeting warfighter requirements may consider universal thrust stands, higher capacity fuel trailers and a test cab. 017 - REMOVED 026 - C-5 Interior Cargo Bay Stands Purchase Full-length Stand for Cargo Bay. The purpose of this is to determine the most economical means to perform Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) inside the cargo bay of C-5 aircraft. This alternative entails purchasing stands that connect and run the full length of the interior cargo bay. The stands run down both sides allowing access to all areas simultaneously. The stands must come with attached lighting and air supply connections running down the length of the platform. 027 - AMFF Blast Booth Robot Blasters To modify blasting processes in 402 CMXG so personnel are not exposed to levels of airborne hazardous materials in excess of the Occupational and Environmental Exposure Limits (OEEL) established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and lead. Blasting is performed in a Blasting Booth that requires the worker to enclose himself in the booth along with the items that are being blasted. 029 - Ventilation Upgrade (B38) A new ventilation system to increase the ventilation velocities and increases visibility and cleanliness within the blast bay. It reduces the amount of spent media on the surfaces which contain hazardous materials and provides a safer working environment for operators. Send event venue questions to: Ms. Camille M.
