Description
The U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration today announced the award of five-years (2 base year period and 3 years option year periods) contract to operate the Shriver Job Corps center in Devens, Massachusetts. The contract has been awarded to Alternate Perspectives, Inc. (API). The contractor shall operate the aforementioned Job Corps Center, which includes provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training, and related support services, for an estimated total of 170 residential male students, 102 residential female students, 15 nonresidential male students, and 13 nonresidential female students. The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to all students as applicable. The contractor shall provide Outreach and Admissions services in the state of Massachusetts and shall ensure the arrival of a minimum of 330 students into the Job Corps program annually for residential male and female students, and nonresidential male and female students. The contractor shall provide Post-Center Career Transition Services annually for 316 Shriver JCC youth returning to the state(s) of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine.
