- NOAA's NMFS, Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories, intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), with PerkinElmer Health Science, Inc. under this notice ABL-15248. The Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Department of Commerce (DOC) is a government agency charged with the mission of stewardship for living marine resources. The Center provides scientific and technical support to NMFS for the management, conservation, and wise use of the SW region's marine and anadromous resources. The Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC) has a requirement for non-personal services for maintenance and repairs from PerkinElmer Health Science, Inc for a Janus Platform 8Tip with Gripper. This instrument has unique designs and unique/proprietary parts or firmware/software that only a properly trained technician can service correctly. Perkin Elmer does not authorize third-parties to service their instruments, they have their own service technicians in-house. The period of performance is for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. Periods 09/15 - 09/20. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219 - Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a size standard of $20.5 Million. Award for this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements by July 16, 2015, 10:00 AM Alaska Time. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy these requirement
