Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) is seeking qualified Small Business (S/B) sources that have capability to provide the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) with precision machining in the Monterey, California area. The U.S. Navy is seeking sources that have the capability of producing precision machined parts associated with rocket, propulsion, and combustion engines. Contractor shall have a minimum of 4 axis machining capability, be able to machine tolerances in excess of.001 �, and be in relative proximity (within 90 miles) of Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA. The contractor is expected to attend routine meetings in person 2 times per month at NPS. In addition, contractor shall be capable of producing 3D representations/actual models, determining design feasibility, create technical data packages, and provide feedback regarding proposed designs. Refer to attached Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for further details. Interested 8(a)s, Hubzones, Women owned, Service Disabled Vets, small disadvantaged, and small business firms are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement by demonstrating Technical Capabilities (not to exceed ten (10) pages not inclusive of the cover page) that summarizes relevant experience, knowledge, and capabilities consistent with the effort described in this notice. Respondents shall provide information related to contracts where the respondent was involved at a comparable level of effort within the past three years. In addition, interested parties are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement by providing the following: (1) name and address of company (corporate/principal office); (2) name, telephone and email address of point of contact; (3) NAICS and Cage Code with the corresponding size standard/socioeconomic status; (4) contractor �s technical capabilities statement; and (5) the contractor �s technical capability or potential approach to achieving technical ability to perform at least 51% of the cost of the proposed contract with its own employees; (6) the contractor is required to demonstrate that they can accomplish all tasks related to the PWS. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 322710 with a Size Standard of 500 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. Proprietary data will be protected when so designated. Acknowledgement of receipt will not be made. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. No cost data should be submitted. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests. Submittal will not be returned to the sender. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. NAVSUP FLCSD will utilize the information for technical and acquisition planning only.
