Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to CFLAcquisitions@dot.gov or by telefax to 720-963-3360 (Attn: Craig Holsopple) for receipt by close of business (2 p.m. local Denver time) on July 8, 2015: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program. In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration). This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility - DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR CCR PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm's capability to bond for a single project of $9.5 million, and your firm's aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of road construction projects of equal or greater value to the Lakeshore Road Intersection project in which you performed ( as the prime contractor ) a sphalt milling, asphalt pulverization, minor, grading, drainage, aggregate base, asphalt paving, concrete paving, erosion control, signing and striping, and temporary traffic control. State whether your firm was the prime contract or subcontractor on the project. DO NOT SEND INFORMATION ON PROJECTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE WORK. The size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc. Refer to the Code of Federal Regulations 13 CFR 121.103 for information on how the SBA determines affiliation and 13 CFR 121.108 regarding the penalties for misrepresentation of size status. PROJECT DETAILS : AZ FTNP GLCA 1(1), Lakeshore Road Intersection Project Location The AZ FTNP GLCA 1(1), Lakeshore Road Intersection project is located in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Coconino County, Arizona near the city of Page, Arizona. Scope of the Work PROJECT DETAILS: This project will consist of drainage, pavement, and safety rehabilitation of Lakeshore Drive and Wahweap Marina Drive in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The project will also consist of minor grading and widening for the construction of concrete turn lanes at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Waheap Marina Drive. Type of Construction: Asphalt milling, asphalt pulverization, minor, grading, drainage, aggregate base, asphalt paving, concrete paving, erosion control, signing and striping, and temporary traffic control. This project consists of: Schedule A: Pulverization and paving of 3.42 miles of Lakeshore Drive. Schedule B: Continues the work of Schedule A for an additional 0.57 miles on Lakeshore Road for a total of 3.89 miles. Significant Items for Schedule B Include: 6,000 LF of sediment logs; removal of 2300 lnft of asphalt curb; removal of 12,800 lnft of guardrail; 17,500 CY of roadway excavation; 940 cuyd of gabions, 82,500 square yards of asphalt pulverization; 5,800 tons of roadway aggregate; 19,500 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 965 LF of pipe culvert placement; 20 CY of minor concrete; 13 concrete headwalls for pipe culverts; 1800 lnft of asphalt curb; 11,500 LF of guardrail; 2.25 acres of seeding and mulching; 350 gallons of epoxy pavement markings; 200 flagger hours Option X: Constructs entrance and exit bypass lanes at the entrance to Glen Canyon on Lakeshore Drive for a total of 0.28 Miles. Significant Items for Schedule B Include: 2,800 LF of sediment logs; 2,500 CY of roadway excavation; 1,700 tons of roadway aggregate; 1,000 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 3.0 acres of seeding and mulching; 20 gallons of epoxy pavement markings; 80 flagger hours Option Y: Removes the asphalt intersection of Lakeshore Dr and Wahweap Marina Dr., widens the turn lanes, and reconstructs with concrete pavement for a total of 0.19 Miles. Significant Items Include: 1,400 LF of sediment logs; removal of 1,250 lnft of concrete curb; removal of 9,600 square yards of asphalt pavement; 1,500 CY of roadway excavation; 4,000 tons of roadway aggregate; 1,300 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 6,400 square yards of reinforced concrete pavement 1,100 lnft of concrete curb; 1.0 acres of seeding and mulching; 80 gallons of epoxy pavement markings; 640 flagger hours Option Z: Asphalt pavement milling, asphalt overlay, and minor concrete paving on Wahweap Marina Drive for a total of 0.31 Miles. Significant Items Include: removal of 13,800 square yards of asphalt pavement; 1,100 tons of roadway aggregate; 3,000 tons of superpave asphalt paving; 3,100 square yards of reinforced concrete pavement; 45 gallons of epoxy pavement markings; 640 flagger hours It is anticipated that this project will be advertised in July, 2015 with construction occurring from October, 2015 through May, 2016. The contracting range for this project is between $8 million to $9.5 million.
