Description

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Technology Applications Contracting Office (TAKO), intends to procure engineering services in support of the Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) Video Processor Module (VPM). The intended Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award will result in a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)/Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The proposed source for the VPM is Rockwell Collins, Inc. (RCI), 400 Collins Roads, NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498. The associated NAICS code is 334511 and small business standard is 750 employees. The proposed contract action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to develop engineering descriptions, technical data packages, or specifications necessary to permit full and open competition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements or proposals received within the closing date set in this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The point of contact (POC) for this effort is Ms. Stacey N.
