Description

This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to award a fixed price commercial item purchase order to Scanlan International Inc, St. Paul, MN on a sole source basis to procure thoracoscopic instruments for use in minimally invasive surgeries at the Richmond VAMC. Scanlan International, Inc is the proprietor, designer and manufacturer of the VATS instruments in question. No other company can provide the wide range of instruments or the quality that Scanlan International, Inc. provides. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement that demonstrates their firm's ability to provide the items described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered and identify their interest and capability to this response no later than July 6, 2015, 2:30pm, EST.
