- The subject requirement is for the acquisition of NSN 2530-01-197-2160, Tie Rod End, Steering. DLA Land & Maritime has drawings/specifications associated with this item and technical data is available**. Sources interested in becoming approved source for this NSN must submit the appropriate information as outlined in DLAD 52.217-9002, Conditions for Evaluation and Acceptance of Offers for Part Numbered Items. An Indefinite Quantity Long-Term Contract with a three year base period and two 1 year option periods is anticipated. Items will be shipped to various destinations within conus. FOB origin is required; inspection/acceptance at source (manufacturing facility). Technical inspection required. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp on or about the issue date of 07/20/2015. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. This solicitation is partially small business set-aside 50%. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and delivery. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. Total duration shall not exceed five years. Based on market research the items are manufactured for military and commercial use; therefore, the Government will use the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for these items. Note**: This item has technical data some or all of which is subject to export-control regulations. Distribution of the technical data and eligibility for award are limited to those suppliers qualified through jcp certification, or to those licensed by either the departments of state or commerce; or to foreign suppliers pursuant to international agreements.
