- The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office (KFFWO), 1936 California Ave, Klamath Falls OR, 97601, has an immediate need for a Contractor to build, supply and install a Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) detection system in the Link River (Klamath County, OR). The (PIT) detection system is being installed in the Link River to monitor and assess the survival and movement patterns of endangered suckers between Lake Ewauna and Upper Klamath Lake. The USFWS intends to award a fixed-price purchase order utilizing other than Full and Open Competition procedures and Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Biomark, Inc. Boise, Idaho. Biomark, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the equipment compatible with the communication system USGS uses to receive and manage PIT detection data and thus this installation must be fully compatible with existing communication software, readers, and transmitters already owned and managed by US Geological Survey (USGS), as USGS manages all PIT data in the Klamath Basin and will manage the data collected from the Link River PIT detection system. Biomark Inc. Boise, Idaho has been selected for this requirement and no solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) will be made available. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the USFWS requirements described herein may submit a response for future consideration.
