Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 3, Bronx, NY is conducting market research/seeking sources from Homemaker (PCA) and Home Health Aide Agencies that are classified under one of the following small business programs: (1) Service-Disabled Veterans-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and/or (2) Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) (3) Small Business (4) Large Business. The firm must be a licensed home health agency in the state of service with an approved NAICS Code 624120 Homemaker's service for elderly or disabled persons, non-medical. The Small Business Size Standard of $11.0 million. Scope: Firm should be able to service patients in the one or all of the following New York State Counties: BRONX, DUTCHESS, NASSAU, ORANGE, PUTNAM, ROCKLAND, SUFFOLK, SULLIVAN, ULSTER, and/or WESTCHESTER. Contractor shall provide: PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT SERVICES (PCA) Personal Care Assistant (PCA) service will be furnished to beneficiaries for whom such service is specifically authorized and reimbursed by a specific VA Medical Center. It is understood that the PCA services to be provided are necessary for the maintenance of the patient in the home. The hourly rate of a PCA shall include: Initial in-home RN assessment, development of the care plan, and RN supervision of the PCAs. PCA services may include: Prepare and serve meals Assist with care of teeth and mouth Assist with grooming/dressing Assist with bathing, bed, tub, shower Assist with toileting Assist with transferring Light housekeeping duties in patient's environment of care Shopping for patient if no other arrangements can be made. Assist with patient's personal laundry HOME HEALTH AIDE SERVICES (HHA) Home Health Aide (HHA) services will be furnished to beneficiaries for whom such care is specifically authorized and reimbursed by a specific VA Medical Center. The hourly rate of HHA shall include: Initial in-home RN assessment, development of the care plan, and RN supervision of the aides. Home Health Aide services may include, but not be limited to, the following personal care services provided in the home: Assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting and continence Aid in ambulation or transfers Active and passive exercises Assistance with medical equipment and routine health monitoring Specific household tasks to maintain a safe environment in areas of the home used by the patient (e.g., changing the bed and doing laundry essential to the cleanliness of the patient) License and Liability Insurance certificate will be required. At this time, no solicitation exists, therefore, do not request a solicitation. Firms having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought.
