- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD in support of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA), intends to issue a brand name, firm-fixed priced synopsis/solicitation, W81XWH-15-T-0209, for item specific Dexis Dental spare parts. The authority for the brand name justification and other than full and open competition procedures will be FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 339112. Persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This Notice of Intent to purchase Brand Name Dexis Dental parts is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the Government will consider all responses received. After the publication of this announcement, solicitation W81XWH-15-T-0209 will be posted for three days. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a subsequent competitive procurement.
