- Amendment: Correct part number from VMX-1894 to VMX1849 and Change Closing date to 13 Aug 2015 2pm EST This synopsis is to announce that the Warner Robins Air Force Sustainment Center (WR-AFSC), Robins AFB GA, intends to solicit Communications & Power Industries, LLC (CPI) Beverly Microwave Division (CAGE 88236) for the services described herein. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).The contract is anticipated to be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery, Requirements type instrument with provisions for Firm Fixed Price repair Contract Line Items (CLINs). The government doesn't owns the data rights. Repair data is proprietary to CPI. A solicitation will be issued on or about 14 July 2015. This proposed repair contract is for five (5) years, consisting of a 12-month basic ordering period, with additional four (4) 12-months ordering periods. NSN: 5960-01-318-0987: P/N: VMX-1849 Noun: Electron Tube, APQ-166 System Basic Year Best Estimated Quantity: 16 4 (four) Ordering Periods Best Estimated Quantity per year: 16 This synopsis is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government or as a Request for Proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting a Statement of Capabilities to Mr. Bennie Simmons at bennie.simmons@us.af.mil. A determination by the Government whether or not to compete the contract based upon an assessment of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)ii, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with this described procurement should contact the firms listed. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors not sufficiently addressed by the Contracting Officer. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation or selection process.
