- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 20433 JNWC Power. The work shall include the following requirements listed in the specific requirements. A.Install power cable from electrical sub-station 230141 to Bldg 20433. 1.Contractor will run a 4-wire 500-amp cable as stated above. i.Trench from sub-station 230141 to warehouse. ii.Remove existing power cable, if applicable. iii.Install new cable, if applicable. iv.Refill trench placing electrical power warning barrier at the industry standard depth. v.Pack trench to surrounding area compression level. vi.Replace gravel/crushed stone surface to match surrounding area. B.Install a 6' by 6' cement pad to house transformer (specific location TBD) 1.Design to meet all industry foundation/grounding specifications. C.Install 3-phase transformer. 1.Mount the transformer to the 6' x 6' pad. 2.Connect the substation cables to the transformer. 3.Connect the warehouse cables to the transformer. D.Contractor will install a new power electrical panel to upgrade the existing Bldg 20433 power panel to support 3-phase/208 VAC. 1.Remove existing power panel. 2.Install upgraded power panel. 3.Re-connect existing electrical breakers/circuits. 4.Connect new breakers/circuits. 5.Update circuit breaker numbering scheme. E.Install electrical conduit. 1.Install electrical conduit from new power panel to new outlets. F.Install electrical outlets. 1.Install two exterior 3-phase 200-amp power pin-and-sleeve outlets (four post) to the south-facing southwest corner of Bldg 20433. 2.Install two 30-amp NEMA locking outlets per diagram. i.South wall. ii.Drop down from ceiling to center of facility. 3.Install six 20-amp outlets distributed per diagram i.Operations area.
