- This Small Business Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for Market Research. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing a Maxi-Miser® Mobile Large Change Station. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a Maxi-Miser® Caging System, constructed from stainless steel, to house 160 Thoren Small Mouse III Cages; complete with the #19 Udel (polysulfone) cages, the cage cover stainless steel, # 19B to hold 16 oz. bottle and feed, the filter cover # 19 Udel® with Reemay®, the stainless steel vertical 3x5 cardholders, the Udel® Drilled bottles with stainless steel flat cap, and the new style energy efficient green HEPA Filter/ Blower Module to provide HEPA filtered air for both the supply and exhaust air with variable speed control fans. Model # 19-160-10-16-1-4-5TMGB / L 28" w 75" L x 91" h. Federal regulatory agencies (USDA) and PHS along with NIH Policy Manual 304-2) and the Guide for the Care and Use of Animals require that animals be handled to prevent disease transmission between animals. In order to maintain sterile cage changes and disease spread, we need an animal change station to protect the animals from diseases and protect the individual changing the cages from animal diseases and occupational exposure to animal allergens. The animal change station has a HEPA filet for this protection. Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall perform task assignments in the following Task Areas ---where the set up shall occur. When and where and who will set up training. How long they have to install / set up / remove The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 332618 with a size standard of 500. Offerors who are capable of providing at a minimum, fifty-one percent (51%) of the required/actual services of this solicitation. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed 15 pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement, not to exceed 15 pages, should include references. Capability statement must be received at the address identified in this synopsis no later than 11:00 A.M. local time at designated location) on July 20, 2015.
