- This Small Business Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for Market Research. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing a Consolidated Sterilizer System. The NIDDK requires constant accessibility to sterile equipment. To fulfil this need, a few small, designated locations have been established for common room sterilizers. NIDDK requires both the opportunity for large fluid volume sterilization cycles for waste as well as an option for a high number of cycles to sterilize equipment throughout the day. A stackable 2-vessel unit will increase our number of cycles to keep up with the demand of our building. Additionally, maintaining programming familiarity reduces training time and thus downtown for our scientists. Therefore we prefer both the large sterilizer and the 2-vessel stackable sterilizer tower to be provided by the same company. We also require that the new sterilizers are compatible with the existing plumbing. The consolidated 2-SSR-3A-AdvPlus Tower model is currently the only known stackable 2-vessel unit available that will fit in the 20" x 20" x 38" space designated for a sterilizer. In order for NIDDK to maintain programming and setup/training continuity, we are also considering the Consolidated SR-24C-AdvPlus model for our large volume sterilizer. It is the appropriate size to fit the established footprint area at a size of 24" x 36" x 36". The old sterilizers shall be disassembled and removed from the property. The new sterilizers must be installed with all packing material removed. Training opportunities need to be in place to quickly get the staff comfortable with the new equipment. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 334516 with a size standard of 500. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed 15 pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement, not to exceed 15 pages, should include references. Capability statement must be received at the address identified in this synopsis no later than 11:00 A.M. local time at designated location) on July 21, 2015.
