Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking information on potential sources concerning an overhaul planned maintenance availability for the USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20) which will satisfy the requirements as detailed below. USNS COMFORT (T-AH-20) is scheduled for a Midterm Availability (MTA) beginning on or about 22 February - 7 April 2016 with a performance period of 45 days. The MTA will be conducted at a contractor's facility on the East Coast, U.S. The estimated issue date of this solicitation (N32205-15-R-5001) is on or about 1 October 2015. After issuance, the solicitation may be obtained on the FedBizOpps website: https://www.fbo.gov/. The major work items are as follows: 1. 102 Damage Control Locker No. 3 Arrangement Modifications 2. 105 Weather Deck Non-Skid 3. 201 Super heater Tube Removal 4. 302 Switchboard Cleaning 5. 401 Annual GMDSS S-VDR and LRIT Systems Certification (ABS) 6. 402 Radar ECDIS Preventive Maintenance 7. 403 Gyro Maintenance 8. 404 Antennas System Maintenance 9. 405 1MC Circuit Upgrade 10. 501 Diesel Hot Start 11. 503 Life Boat Engine Overhaul 12. 601 Refurbish Crew Stateroom 13. 602 Refurbish Showers 14. 603 Tile Replacement 15. 604 Life Boat Inspections 16. 605 Aft Galley Deck Cover Replacement 17. 606 SCBA Compressor Inspection 18. 701 Refurbish MFT Spaces 19. 702 Medical Vacuum Pump Replacement All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether, a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipates award of a contract on or about 8 January 2015. The Appropriate NAICS Code is 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,000 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) The facility where the work will be performed; (3) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information.
