- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) seeking to award a firm-fixed price construction contract for the replacement of a 2.4kV electrical distribution circuit with 12.47kV electrical distribution circuit in the vicinity of Bldgs. 194 & 195 at Lakehurst. The work includes new manholes, new underground ductbanks, pad mount transformers and switchgear & associated support equipment, as well as step-down substation. Additionally, this contract will include electrical upgrading/replacement at the main base area where 2.4kV electrical distribution system is replaced with a 34.5kV system in the vicinity of Bldg. 1 at Lakehurst. The work also includes new manholes underground ductbanks, new pad mount transformers and switchgear, isolation switches, and all other pertinent support equipment necessary to make the replacement electrical distribution circuit functional. The Contractor will be required to commence work within five (5) calendar days after the date of receipt of the Notice To Proceed (NTP), and to prosecute said work diligently and to complete the work ready for use not later than three hundred, sixty five (365) calendar days after the receipt of the Notice To Proceed. This procurement strategy will be 100% Small Business Set Aside for invitation for Bid (IFB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210. The business size standard is $15,000,000. The project magnitude is between $5,000,000.00- $10,000,000.00. Plans and specification for Solicitation will be available on or about 24 July 2015. Bid Opening date is on or about 26 August 2015 at 3:00 P.M. (Eastern Standard Time). Bids will be submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Room 1843, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278. The media selected for issuance of Synopsis/Solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the internet. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued.
