Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD) in support of the Program Manager - Survival, Support and Equipment Systems (PM-SSES) intends to award a firm fixed price research and development contract on a sole source basis to Airborne Systems, located at Bettws Rd, Llangeinor Bridgend, CF32 8PL, United Kingdom, under the authority as prescribed in 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The requirement is to further develop the Energy Dissipating Airbag Platform (EDAP) technology to integrate with the US C-17 aircraft's Dual Row Airdrop System (DRAS) configuration in order to improve future airdrop capabilities. Airborne is the original equipment manufacturer of the EDAP and no other source is capable of performing the design changes necessary to meet the agency's requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 336999 and the size standard is 500 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by sending responses to this requirement to the Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground CCAP-SCN, Natick Contracting Division via e-mail ONLY to paul.d.yatsco.civ@mail.mil AND michael.dalessandro6.civ@mail.mil, no later than 4:00 p.m. EST 23 July 2015. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Notice will be solely at the expense of the interested party.
