Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Droplet Measurement Technologies Inc. for Particle Analysis and Display System (PADS) Upgrade and Airborne Data Acquisition System for P-3 aircraft for the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center located in Tampa, FL. A Sources Sought notice was posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on June 30, 2015 and closed on July 8, 2015. No responses were received. Justification for Sole Source Droplet Measurement Technologies Inc. is the designer of the PADS used in the Data Acquisition System for the PIP, CCP and CAS instruments. This technology is proprietary and not available to the public and not available to other agencies.
