Description
Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through FBO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island intends to purchase AN/SQS-53C(V) sonar recptacles with protective caps IAW NAVSEA Dwg. #53711-8338916, qty. 230 for Modernization SHIPALTS to meet the demands of scheduled dry-dock availabilities. The AN/SQS-53C (V) Sonar Array Receptacle, Modified (P/N: 53711-8338916) is used to upgrade the surface ship sonar array to an approved Modernization SHIPALT configuration. Offerors must be certified by Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP). The receptacle is a M24231/14-010 receptacle modified to fit in the existing stuffing tubes of the ship. The receptacle is capable of providing the proper mating of the dry-side sonar cables to the wet-side sonar cables. The receptacle has proven its ability to maintain a waterproof fitting while providing proper electrical engagement required for years of at sea operation in the extreme environment present in a surface ship's ballast tank. Two options for qty. 160 and 240 will be included. A firm fixed price type purchase order is anticipated. NAICS Code 334417, Size Standard is 500 employees. This requirement is 100% small business set aside. The NUWCDIVNPT Office for Small Business Programs concurs with the set-aside determination. Further details will be provided in Solicitation #N66604-15-Q-3051, which is anticipated to be released on or about 07/27/15. Vendor must be JCP certified (See website http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp for further information.) to receive access to drawings and/or specifications. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the website. Basis for award is Low Price Technically Acceptable. Offerors must submit SUBMEPP certification. Required delivery is 3 months ARO, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI.
