- SCA WAGE DETERMINATION EVALUATION OF OFFERS This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement. The objective of this contract is to obtain a contractor to perform caretaker services on St. George Island, Alaska overseeing NOAA/NMFS real and personal property in order to provide a safe, secure and clean facility. Caretaker of buildings include Cottage "C" and the Wash House and government owned personal property contained within. Contractor to do daily checks of property to ensure equipment and property conditions are in proper working order. If checks reveal deficiencies the contractor shall notify the St Paul Caretaker or the ABL Facility Manager as soon as practical. Tasks Include: •· Ensure agency vehicles are operational, and if not, work with the Facility Manager to schedule repairs. •· Daily, when the facilities are vacant, confirm that Cottage "C" utilities are operable and building is secure, and make rounds to confirm Wash House (aka Sealing Plant) is also secure. If buildings are not secure then lock them. If suspicious activity is encountered, contact local police and report activity to the Facility Manager as soon as practical. •· During periods of occupancy, weekly visit with facility occupants to determine need for/extent of repairs needed and coordinate repairs if required with St Paul Caretaker or the ABL Facility Manager. •· Serve as the on-island point of contact for all facility related repair work, such as might occur when local contractors come on site to perform maintenance or repair of facility infrastructure. •· During the winter weekly check the facilities for leaks and security. •· Conduct minor repairs as needed to restore functionality or minimize damage as needed until further repairs are needed. •· Vendor to provide all labor on a fixed flat rate for all work performed. Vendor must be able to work weekends and evenings. Successful vendor must be a permanent resident on St George Island, possess a clean driving record, and able to document skills and/or work history in the areas referenced. See attached Statement of Work for more information. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in immediately.
