Solicitation Number:VA256-15-Q-0084 Notice Type:Solicitation Notice Description: Non-Infectious Waste/Refuse Collection and Removal Service consisting of the Rental, Removal and Disposal of Containerized Solid Waste The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Southeast Louisiana Healthcare System (SLVHCS) requires a Contractor to provide all personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform Non-Infectious Waste/Refuse Collection Removal and Waste Container Rental Service for the Southeast Louisiana Healthcare System (SLVHCS) facilities in New Orleans, Harahan, Reserve, Slidell and Hammond, Louisiana. The Contractor shall perform to the standards of the awarded contract as outlined in the Performance Work Statement, as well as the Department of Transportation, Environment Protection Agency (EPA), applicable Environmental laws, and local, state and Federal laws and regulations. Period of Performance - The anticipated contract Period of Performance shall be from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016, with provisions for up to two (2) - 1 year extension options that would extend the contract through September 30, 2018. The exercising of the extension options shall be at the sole discretion of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Southeast Louisiana Healthcare System (SLVHCS). Project Background - The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System consists of approximately eight (8) clinics located throughout southeast Louisiana. Some of these clinics will require outside non-infectious waste container rentals and removal services as the SLVHCS either does not currently have the capability to provide these services at these locations or this service is not covered under existing agreements at the locations. The followings locations require "Non-Infectious Waste/Refuse Collection and Removal Service" and Waste Container Rental Service: i.1131 South Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA; ii.247 Veterans Blvd., Reserve, LA; iii.60491 Doss Drive, Slidell, LA; iv.1601 Perdido St., New Orleans, LA; v.2237 Poydras St., New Orleans, LA; vi.3426 Canal St., New Orleans, LA; vii.400 Edwards Ave., Harahan, LA; viii.7850 Anselmo Lane, Baton Rouge, LA. A Pre-Bid Site Visit Conference is set for Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, 1601 Perdido Street, New Orleans, Louisiana; interested attendee shall meet in the Lobby. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. Questions - Requests for information regarding this RFQ must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer (email is acceptable). Any interested offeror desiring an explanation or interpretation of solicitation specifications must request it in writing.
