- Statement of Work Combined Synopsis/Solicitation The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Time and Frequency Division's (688) research at is focused on developing the next-generation optical tools for precision time keeping. The contractor shall deliver One (1) 1300 nm optical amplifier, including an amplifier head and a controller unit with power supply and temperature controller. • Wavelength range = 1270 nm - 1320 nm • 1 Watt (+30 dBm) optical power output • Seed power required less than 50 mW • Optical gain at least 20 dB • M^2 better than 1.5 • Linear polarization output, 100:1 • >35 dB optical isolator, >90% transmission, 4 mm aperture • Fiber coupler output unit, FC/APC optical fiber • Current modulation capability to control the optical output power, >100 kHz bandwidth • Low relative intensity noise, better than -150 dBc/Hz for 10 kHz and above • Optical gain is independent of temperature • Amplifier control electronic included for a turn-key system See Attached Statement of Work
