Description

Attached Statement of Work Attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Material Measurement Laboratory, applied Chemicals and Materials Division (647), requires a microbalance in order to support multiple projects related to thermodynamic studies and standard reference material (SRM) development. The Contractor shall provide a microbalance that includes the following technical specifications: • Readability of 0.001 milligram (or smaller) • Repeatability of 0.002 milligram (or smaller) with a load of approximately 1 gram • Linearity of 0.010 milligrams (or smaller) • Maximum load mass of 20 grams (or higher) • Minimum load mass of 5 milligrams (or lower) • LED or LCD (or similar) electronic display • An integrated (non-radioactive) anti-static device / ionizer to diffuse static electricity • On-site installation and verification of the microbalance by a certified technician, followed by user training • Warranty: A minimum warranty period of 1 year is required. It is very desirable for the device to be serviced in place since shipping could easily affect the calibration or performance of the device. See attached statement of work
