- ****Conference Follow-Up**** The Conference Q&A and the updated PWS are provided as attachments. The Government has selected the GSA Alliant GWAC as the vehicle for this acquisition. Interested vendors are encourage to contact the Alliant prime contractors for sub-contracting opportunities. ********* The Army Publishing Directorate (APD) will host a pre-solicitation conference on 16 April, 2015 at the Heroes 9/11 Auditorium (on the 2nd Floor) at 9301 Chapek Road, Bldg. 1458, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060. The conference will begin at 9:00 AM and will end promptly at 12:00 PM. This conference will discuss the upcoming requirement to provide a Lifecycle Management System and Software for processing and managing the lifecycle of Army publications and forms. The intended system will bring together all data and content management processes in a secure, indexed, and searchable repository. The workflow will manage and facilitate all stages of APD's processes from initial request through completion and hosting online. Finally, the software will format and edit documents. The APD supports readiness as the Army's centralized publications and forms management organization. APD is the Army's leader in publishing and distributing information products, employing advanced technologies to ensure responsive support worldwide. APD manages Army departmental publications and the electronic publishing process, including the lifecycle management of departmental forms and printing, in accordance with Army regulation (AR) 25-30. APD designs, builds, operates, maintains, and sustains the technology platforms and applications necessary to accomplish its mission. The APD Portfolio consists of 17,000 active publications and 3,000 forms. The APD annual workload is 2,000 print requests, and 1,800 publications and forms publishing actions. The APD website is www.apd.army.mil. A draft of the Performance Work Statement is attached. Interested firms in the industry are invited to attend the conference. Firms that plan to attend shall email a list of attendees to Scott Barnhart (ITS Project Manager, scott.barnhart@usace.army.mil) by 4:00 PM on 13 April 2015. Please note this meeting is on a military installation and visitors shall possess proper identification for entry to the base. Attendance at the conference is encouraged, but is not mandatory for firms intending to submit proposals. A map to the conference location is now provided. Additional documents with sample publications, reporting requirements, and workflows is now provided to help clarify the draft PWS requirement.
