- In accordance with Section 3.2.2.4 of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS), the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis for the FAA's decision to contract on a single source basis. The FAA intends to award a single source contract to ProQuest. Requirements to provide research services for: Patron access to global searches of professional and scholarly journals. Patron access to numerous FAA documents such as handbooks, directives, general and Radio Technical Communications for Aeronautics (RTCA) reports, studies, serials, journals (ejournals), ebooks, and FAA and ICAO standards. Patron research to both print and non-print materials through interlibrary loan from other government, public and university libraries. Patron access to technical documents (reports, studies, research) from engineering, research and related organizations Patrons as a designated Document Management Office (DMO), and is responsible for handling and dissemination of contractor documents submitted through the Contractor Data Requirements List (CDRL) system. Microform and electronic information professionals to government and libraries around the world. Access via online content repositories globally for Tech center engineers and scientists. Aggregate source material from third-party publishers and associated abstract indexes and such material to make up specific databases Cloud (digital/virtual) based web access integrated library automation system. Cataloging: of materials (bibliographic database) using Library of Congress rules Circulation: an OPAC (OnLine Public Access Catalog) Patrons to access Web based search portal to the collection of the library. Digitized items that can be downloaded directly from our web site, as well as providing links to other FAA materials, FAA libraries. other libraries and access to our subscription services (i.e.ebscohost, ebrary ) Technical Reports To provide assistance, guidance and publication services for the preparation and issuance of technical reports Preparation of technical documents is a shared responsibility between management, authors, the technical editor, and the Library. A full and open competition is not available for this requirement. If your firm does not agree with the single source determination, please provide evidence of your firms' capabilities and experience in providing the above product.
