Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Requisition Number W81EWF50628723 is being issued as a request for proposals (RFP) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-60. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business under NAICS 444130 with a size standard of $7,000,000. Award shall be made to the proposal that is determined to be the Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg, MS, Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory has a requirement for the following: ERDC has a requirement for to conduct a demonstration for Fiber Reinforces Polymer (FRP) mat. The demonstration includes the creation of a prototype kit required to install FRP matting over concrete or asphalt. To ensure compatibility with military fuel availability, diesel motors are required for equipment. As part of the prototype kit demonstration, a complete kit must be purchased and then demonstrated by the ERDC and U.S. Army users to verify the design and required equipment.
