Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The VA Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 intends to negotiate a single source procurement in accordance with FAR Part 13 with Lavinia Fiorentino, PhD pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b) - Soliciting Competition, Soliciting from a single source. Contract is projected to be awarded by July 27, 2015 SCOPE: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is requesting a single source procurement with Lavinia Fiorentino, PhD for expert advisement/consultation services for two VA funded Health Services Research & Development (HSR&D) projects (IIR 13-058, A Patient-Focused Approach to Insomnia Treatment for Women Veteran and IIR 12-353, Novel Treatment of Comorbid Insomnia and Sleep Apnea in Older Adults). Dr. Fiorentino will provide weekly consultation to the principal investigators regarding implementation of three behavioral treatment programs for insomnia. She will also train research staff to deliver the behavioral treatment programs and will provide on-going monitoring of staff fidelity to the treatment programs over the course of the research projects. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposal or solicitation of offerors. A solicitation will not be posted. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely with the discretion of the Government.
