Description
SOURCES SOUGHT Urgent Care Medical Officer of the Day Physician Services, VA Northern Indiana Health Care System This is a Sources Sought Notice. This advertisement is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a Request for Quotations (RFQ). An RFQ may be issued at a later date. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist and if they are capable of providing the requirements with LOCAL PHYSICIANS ONLY (within commuting distance). The proposed North American Industry Classification is 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists) ($11 Million). The requirement is for 3.2 FTE Medical Officers of the Day (MOD) to perform Urgent Care MOD services at the VA Northern Indiana Health System (VANIHCS), 1700 E. 38th ST, Marion, IN 46953. Hours of coverage would be from 4:30pm through 8:00am Monday through Friday; 4:30pm Friday through 8:00am Monday; (entire weekend); and Federal Holidays (6656 hours annually). The minimum qualifications shall meet Physician-General / Family or Physician-Internal Medicine. Key Duties Include: The Medical Officer of the Day (MOD)/Urgent Care physician Marion is the clinical representative of the Medical Center Director and the Chief of Staff, advising hospital clinical operations in their absence. The Urgent Care MOD shall not leave the medical center grounds during the tour of duty unless relieved by another physician, and the Administrative Officer of The Day (AOD) shall be notified. The Urgent Care MOD physician shall carry a pager at all times during the assigned tour of duty, and will readily available to the Urgent Care and all unit nursing staff when called. The Urgent Care MOD shall be available at all times for consultation by nursing with any and all inpatients on the following units: Long Term Care, Acute and Chronic Psychiatry, and SARRTP (Substance Abuse Residential Recovery Treatment Program). The Urgent Care MOD is also responsible for attending emergency codes during their tours of duty. For more information please see the attached PWS (draft copy).
