- Description of Requirement: This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals. This is a pre-solicitation notice that a solicitation is scheduled to be released via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future detailing requirements for a service requirement entitled: Lower Monumental Dam Elevator Maintenance at Lower Monumental Dam. This is a non-personal services contract to provide Elevator Maintenance, Repair, Inspection and Safety Testing/Certification at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lower Monumental Dam, Kahlotus, Washington. The Contractor shall inspect, maintain, and repair the four Lower Monumental elevators to ensure maximum availability for safe use by Government personnel. The Contractor shall maintain elevators, equipment appurtenances, and accessories so as to comply with the requirements of the latest editions of the elevator codes. The Elevator Inspector's Manual, ASME A17.2 shall be followed for required inspection and maintenance procedures to ensure safe operation of all elevators covered under this contract. All elevators require a 5 year test during the contract's 2nd option year. Additionally, the contractor will perform testing, maintenance and emergency call out service on the powerhouse elevator fire panel, Quickstart Fire Alarm Panel Model # QS1-1-G-1, in accordance with NFPA 70 National Electric Code and NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. Site visit: A site visit will be offered approximately 5 - 10 days after the solicitation is made available to quoters. The solicitation will include details regarding the site visit. Other information: The solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities web site (www.fbo.gov) when released. Quotes/Proposals will be due approximately 3 weeks after the actual solicitation issuance date. This is scheduled to be issued as a Firm-Fixed Price Service contract. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only. Set-aside status: The solicitation is scheduled to be issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System code for this requirement is 238290 size standard: $14 Million average annual income. All Offerors must be SAM registered prior to receiving an award. Registration instructions may be obtained and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov. By submission of a quote, a vendor acknowledges the requirement to be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the solicitation. When available, the solicitation documents for this project will be accessible via FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice.
