Description

Questions and Answers (RFQ - Solicitation VA249-15-Q-0627) Question: 1. It states in the synopsis that "The offeror shall be a certified member of the associated air balance council (AABC)." I would like to know if our company could be considered with different certifications 1.We have NCI certified technician for Commercial Air Balancing 2.We have a NEBB Certified Technician for Testing, Adjusting and Balancing 3.The above technician is also NSF Certified for Bio-Safety Cabinet Certification. Numbers 1 & 2 are accepted by the industry as AABC and number 3 is critical for any Bio-Safety Cabinet Certification. Please let me know if this would be acceptable. Answer: We require the AABC Standards for testing and balancing air systems. Without this guaranty of performance, VA standards would be lowered, which is unacceptable for JACHO findings during inspections. All vendors considered shall follow and carry this standard from AABC. Vendors not under the AABC performance Guaranty will not be acceptable for air testing at the Memphis VA Medical Center. Please note: The time frame for submitting questions in regards to this solicitation has closed. - NO FURTHER QUESTIONS WILL BE ADDRESSED.
