Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale one(1) item of timber on approximately 119 acres on Fort A. P. Hill, Virginia of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: This sale will be sold by weight. Pine Sawtimber 1,061 Tons Pine Chip n' Saw 3,114 Tons Pine Pulpwood 1,475 Tons Hardwood Sawtimber 458 Tons Hardwood Pulpwood 479 Tons (Optional) Chips 214 Tons The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers on Tuesday July 7, 2015 and Thursday July 9, 2015 at 10:00a.m. each morning. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00p.m. Thurday July 16, 2015, by the Acquisition, Management, and Disposal Section, Real Estate Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1011, and then publicly opened. Forms for use in submitting bids are attached. Terms and conditions of the sale, the procedure for submitting bids, and description of the timber are contained in the attached bid forms.
