- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office has a future requirement for Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas, High Island To Rollover, In Galveston and Chambers, Counties, Texas-Shallow Pipeline Dredging. This project will require the contractor to perform maintenance dredging of the GIWW High Island To Rollover, approx. 1,100,000 cubic yards and one Option for GIWW High Island To Rollover, approx. 177,000 cubic yards. The contract will have some beneficial use for beach placement of materials. Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 120 calendar days and 15 calendar days will be added to the contract for the Option if exercised. The order of magnitude for this effort is estimated between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The estimated award date for this project is 24 Sep 15. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin dredging within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $1,330.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The Government contemplates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This will be an Unrestricted Procurement. This synopsis is not an obligation of the Government and all information sent in is voluntary. The Solicitation will be issued on or about 4 August 2015.
