- Description of Work: The Base Bid scope of work is for the removal of existing and installation of new steam lines along the existing tainter gates dam and includes, but is not limited to: the removal and demolition of existing steam lines, insulation, drop branches, hangers, supports, heat trace and appurtenances and the installation of new steam lines, insulation, drop branches, hangers, supports, heat trace and appurtenances as indicated along the existing dam. Option A The Option A scope of work is for the removal of the existing and installation of a new boiler, pumps and appurtenances within and adjacent to the boiler house and includes, but is not limited to: the partial demolition of existing boiler house interior walls, the removal of the existing boiler and associated pumps and mechanical items, and the removal of existing electrical items and the installation of new structural items, a new boiler with associated pumps and mechanical items, and new electrical items as indicated in and adjacent to the existing boiler house. Option B The Option B scope of work is for the repair of the boiler house roof and filling of the chimney and includes, but is not limited to: the removal of existing ballast, a vent, metal attachments, and metal covers, the temporary removal of testing equipment and the installation of new metal coping with flashing, new EPDM roofing system, the filling of the existing chimney with grout, and the replacement of the testing equipment.
