- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to release a solicitation for a service to remove and replace and caulk backer rods of the windows of Building 202, 204, and 205 of the Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC). The Contractor shall furnish and install and perform all services, materials, labor, tools, and appliances, travel, management, supervision and quality control as required. The Government will not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who in turn is responsible to the Government. The intent of this Synopsis is to allow interested 8(a) small business offerors an opportunity to review a future requirement and provide feedback, comments, or questions to the technical and contracting offices prior to the release of the request for proposal (RFF). This period will also be used to develop an quote mark Interested Parties List quote mark of 8(a) small businesses only to be used in the development of this acquisition. The Army Research Laboratory (ARL) will host a site visit, which is tentatively scheduled for 30 July 2015, 10:30 AM EST at the ARL ALC, Adelphi, MD to present an overview of the site and requirement. The schedule is subject to change based on low attendance. All interested offerors should reference the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for additional information on this requirement.
