Description
The US Army, Product Director, Army Watercraft Systems (PD AWS) intends to perform a Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) and On-Condition Cyclic Maintenance (OCCM) on its fleet of Landing Craft Utility 2000 (LCU 2000) vessels. The LCU 2000 has been in service since 1990. The vessel was originally designed with an as-built service life of 25 years (2015). The purpose of this program is to combine SLEP and OCCM to minimize the vessels downtime while extending the vessels service life by at least an additional 10 years. This effort will be divided into two separate contracting phases: Phase I: Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) The objective of Phase I is to develop a Technical Data Package (TDP) for the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) modifications described in the RFP and completion of the On-Condition Cyclic Maintenance (OCCM). Phase II: It is anticipated the Phase II production effort for the remaining vessels (number of vessels and/or the effort itself depend on the fiscal climate) be competed through full and open competition in a separate contract. Updated information on the LCU 2000 SLEP & OCCM will be posted to notice as necessary. The Government will not provide notification of updates. As such, it is the responsibility of interested parties to keep themselves informed on the most current information. Feedback provided in response to the Draft RFP shall be voluntary on the part of the potential offeror and no reimbursements will be made to any potential offeror for costs associated with its feedback.
