- Description
- NAVFAC EXWC seeks to obtain remanufacture and calibration services on 92 Linde Hydraulic pumps in order to make them compatible for use with the LARC-V A1/A2. Base Year: Four lots of four each (16) (FY 15/16) Option Year: Five lots of four each (20) Option Year 2: Five lots of four each (20) Option Year 3: Five lots of four each (20) Option Year 4: Four lots of four each (16) It was recently brought to our attention, that the factory standard settings on these pumps is generic in nature and is a contributing factor to the poor performance weve been experiencing on the LARC-V A1/A2. For optimum performance, all four pumps must be set to start at the same time, transit the ramp up to full output at the same rate, produce the same flow in gallons per minute (GPM), and produce the same pressures throughout the span within allowable tolerances. If pumps arent set to do this, then each wheel motor will function independently of the others. The end result being that the wheel motors fight against one another until they eventually fail rendering the LARC-V A1/A2 non-mission capable resulting in down time. In order to prevent pump failures, thereby improving Fleet readiness, the Linde pumps require remanufacturing in order to ensure that they are set for use on the LARC-V A1/A2. Remanufacture work will be performed at the Contractors facility. All offerors will be required to submit a technical proposal in accordance with the instructions in the solicitation. Interested parties shall obtain a copy of solicitation N00244-15-R-0041 posted herein. The solicitation will close on 21 August 2015 at 1700 PST. Any questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted via email by 14 August 2015, 1200 PST.
